Die Ausstellungsserie „Public Provocations“, die in ihre siebte Auflage geht, ist für Fans und Kenner der Urbanen Kunst eine feste Institution im internationalen Ausstellungskalender. Über 170 Künstler sind in beinahe 10 Jahren der Einladung gefolgt und haben nach und nach Weil am Rhein zu einem Zentrum der Urbanen Kunst gemacht.
Essentielle Fragen wie: „Wem gehört der öffentliche Raum? Und wie gehen wir als Gesellschaft und Individuum mit diesem um? Warum macht man Kunst im öffentlichen Raum? Welche Emotionen sollen geweckt, welche Missstände aufgedeckt werden?“, werden gestellt.
Wir freuen uns Ihnen AKAY aus Schweden, ALIAS IPIN und EAST ERIC aus Frankreich, DANIEL MAN und SONICE DEVELOPMENT aus Deutschland, REMI ROUGH aus England, MONEYLESS aus Italien, THIERRY FURGER aus der Schweiz und SO KANNO sowie TAKAHIRO YAMAGUCHI aus Japan präsentieren zu dürfen.

The exhibition series „Public Provocations", going into its seventh edition, is a fixed institution on the international calender of exhibitions for fans and connoisseurs of Urban Art. More than 170 artists have followed the invitation in almost 10 years and have helped making Weil am Rhein a centre for Urban Art.
Essential questions like: To whom does public space belong? And how do we as a society or as an individual handle this subject? Why does one make art in a public space? Which emotions are to be evoked and which abuse is to be revealed?
We are looking forward to present to you: AKAY from Schweden, ALIAS IPIN and EAST ERIC from France, DANIEL MAN and SONICE DEVELOPMENT from Germany, REMI ROUGH from England, MONEYLESS from Italy, THIERRY FURGER from Switzerland and SO KANNO aswell as TAKAHIRO YAMAGUCHI from Japan.
