Visiting SAEIO in Marseille
Visiting SAEIO in Marseille
Emmett Edelstein embarked on a photographic journey to explore the traces of the exceptional graffiti artist SAEIO in Marseille. A member of the legendary PAL crew, SAEIO tragically passed away in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of unique and increasingly abstract works. While many of his pieces in Paris have disappeared, Edelstein sought out the remnants of SAEIO's iconic works in Marseille, created around 800 km from the French capital. The resulting publication, Visiting SAEIO in Marseille, features 52 pages of detailed and panoramic shots, showcasing pieces that have evolved over time due to weathering. This zine serves as an exhibition catalogue and a tribute to SAEIO's legacy. Purchasing it supports the SAEIO Association, which aims to preserve his art, with €2 from each sale going directly to the organization.
