Artist Information
For Ozkar, the camera is a companion on a quiet journey to the world's edges. His images reflect the paths taken, through the layered urban underground or the vast wilderness. He photographs the dialogue between the seeker and the space, capturing the poetry of places just beyond the everyday gaze.
Captured and Composed — Where Vision meets Construction
“Captured & Composed – Where Vision Meets Construction“ brings together artists working in photography and painting to explore how images are shaped, constructed, and framed, both in the moment of capture and in the process of creation. Ranging from observational photography to expressive and conceptual approaches in painting, the exhibition draws attention to how artists translate experience into visual form.
While photography is often associated with immediacy and documentation, and painting with reflection and construction, Captured & Composed reveals the ways in which both mediums share a concern with perception, memory, and narrative. The selected works span figurative and abstract expressions, stillness and movement, spontaneity and careful arrangement. Together, they examine how scenes, whether real or imagined, are composed to communicate meaning.
From intimate glimpses of daily life to evocative gestures on canvas, the works in Captured & Composed challenge viewers to consider how the world is seen, remembered, and interpreted. At the heart of the exhibition lies a dialogue between different visual languages, one that celebrates the diverse ways artists frame their realities and invite us to look closer.
